A new exhibition at Edinburgh's City Art Centre showcases a rich selection of historic and contemporary portraits from its Scottish art collection.

The work of more than 30 different artists will feature in the exhibition, and once again women feature prominently, including Victoria Crowe, Pat Douthwaite, Joan Eardley, Dorothy Johnstone and Maud Sulter.

The exhibition opens on 13 September 2025 and closes on 31 May 2026, and admission is free.
