There’s another Eardley100 event on the horizon, this time from another one of our key partners, the Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design (DJCAD) at the University of Dundee.
Beginning at 2pm the afternoon is packed with a fantastic line-up of speakers including DJCAD staff and students, plus some special guests. SWARN members will also be taking part - Alice Strang (Senior Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the National Galleries of Scotland) will deliver a keynote lecture alongside artist and DJCAD alumni Anna King, while Dr Helen Gorrill will be presenting her paper 'Let's talk about money!: Eardley, the Tate, and Market Values of Women's Painting'.
Organised by INGEAR at DJCAD (Intersectional Gender Equality in the Arts Research), the symposium aims to present Joan Eardley as she has never been seen before, and we can’t wait to hear this illuminating new research focusing on previously unconsidered aspects of her work.
