TALK: 'SCOTTISH WOMEN ETCHERS AT THE HUNTERIAN' BY JENNY MACLEOD

Join Jenny MacLeod, SWARN member and doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow as she explores the often-overlooked contributions of Scottish women etchers during the Etching Revival and Boom periods (c.1880–1930).


In this Friday Focus talk, Jenny will explore the lives and work of five women etchers - Katherine Cameron (1874-1965), Susan Fletcher Crawford (1863-1918), Josephine Haswell Miller (1890-1975), Eleanor Allen Moore (1885-1955) and Mary Viola Paterson (1899-1981) - that form part of The Hunterian’s distinguished print collection and also consider the challenges faced when it comes to researching prints by women artists in museum collections.
